On Monday, Bath Class had a dedicated RE day. Our topic this term is ‘Special Places’ so we spent the morning at St Nicholas Church in Uphill. We had an opportunity to look at some of the architecture around the church, and to talk about some of the gravestones before meeting the vicar to have our own private tour of the church. We were shown the main points of the church (the pulpit, alter, and organ etc) before learning about the stained glass windows. Our trip was finished off with a chance to ring the church bells!
After lunch, we used our inspiration from the trip to have a go at creating our own stained glass windows out of tissue paper, to decorate our classroom.
