The tide was out and it didn’t rain – that was good for starters. We came first and second – that was also good – but the best bit was something else: The best bit was how well these students represented the school. They started off by transporting all the gear including two goals from the school to the beach. They then marked out a football pitch on the sand using a trundle wheel. They then inspected the whole pitch for dangerous objects and constructed the goals on the beach.
When the actual football started, Elmfield were short of a player so we provided players for them (who played really well). It was awesome.
At the end of the tournament the staff asked us if they could come again to play different sports and we of course said yes. What a lovely day, what lovely boys and girls we have in our teams.
