To help us with our fundraising to build a new Sports Hall, Mark Hicks, whose son Etienne was a Westhaven student, is participating in the Bristol 10k run on the 7th of May 2017.
Here’s what Mark said on his JustGiving page:
“My son Etienne was a pupil at Westhaven School for two years. It’s an amazing little special needs school in Uphill, a village just outside of Weston-S-M. It caters for children with special needs but it’s in a really poor funding situation as money is pulled out of the system and cuts get deeper.
But Westhaven are determined to raise money for a new sports hall and changing facilities, so that they don’t have to have their assemblies, their sports activities and all their meals in the same big room.
I want to help them get there, and I’m asking you to help me do it by sponsoring my Bristol 10K dash on 7th May.”
At the time of the writing Mark already raised 54% of his target. If you would like to sponsor him please visit his JustGiving page or alternatively use our Donate page (please put Mark’s name in the comment box at the payment page).
Mark, thank you so much for your support, without people like you we couldn’t make this dream a reality.
Dear Mark,
Thank you so much, this is wonderful. Our memories of your beautiful son Ettienne will always be with us and he is still so much part of our school. I am sure you would like to know that one of his peers recently helped to renovate the monkey storytelling chair with love and memories.
I will be definitely be visiting the Just Giving website to support you whilst you support us. Thank you again. Ms Towler
