All six of our DofE students have now completed the Skill Section of their award and will be receiving their sectional certificates in the next few weeks. The students all worked very hard to learn expedition skills such as; first aid and CPR, erecting tents, cooking on trangias, navigating and emergency procedures.
For the next two terms we will be working on the volunteering section of the student’s award and the first session got off to a great start! We went to Burrington Combe and we helped The Mendip Hills AONB Trust to clear scrub and build a Dead Hedge to keep grazing cattle off the road. Everyone worked very hard and enjoyed themselves, well done!
