The residential programme at Westhaven is a fundamental part of every young learner’s educational journey and enhances their development into young adults. We run three residentials per academic year. Lower school students have the opportunity to go to Kilve Court activity centre, Middle school students in year 9 have the chance to go to France and Upper school students in year 11 once their exams are over have the opportunity to go camping under canvas.

All of our trips are reviewed at the end of each academic year to ensure they are suitable for our students needs and to ensure we are getting the best possible price for each trip.

This trip is for Lower school students. The main aim of the residential is to help bond the phase and to work on their friendship groups and teamwork skills through many exciting and challenging activities. This is a three day/2 night residential.

This trip is for our year 9 students but sometimes we have some spaces left to which we offer them to Upper school students.

This year we went to DISNEYLAND Paris. We spent 2 full days in the Disney parks. We also went into Paris for a river boat cruise and up the Montparnasse Tower. This trip was a 3 night/4 day residential.

This is for our year 11 students and is a fun, relaxed camp where they get to spend some quality time with their friends before leaving Westhaven. This is a 2 night/3 day trip to mark the end of their time at school.

Brean 2016

This years leavers camp was another great success, starting with the barbecue on Wednesday evening and three great days spent in and around Brean and the leisure centre.
