Saturday 21 April – Bristol City v Hull City

What a match! What a match! A record TEN goals were scored – no Championship match has ever had ten goals before, we were really lucky – boring it was not!
Not only that but it didn’t rain either! In fact some of our pupils found it too hot.
The game didn’t start well with Hull taking an early lead however Bristol equalised and then went 2-1 up by half time.
The second half was a real goal fest, Bristol going up 4-2 before Hull shocked the home supporters by scoring three goals in 15 minutes to go 5-4 up.
Some City fans started leaving the ground in disgust as there were only five minutes left and defeat seemed inevitable.
However a late equaliser was just reward for the faithful who had stayed on and I think everyone actually left the ground happy.
As a footnote, the car park we always use for free courtesy of Avonline (thank you very much – again!) usually takes ages to escape from but we were out in less than a minute this time – (hurrah!) so everyone got back to Westhaven on time for the scheduled pick up after an amazing afternoon.
Thanks to Mr Symonds and Miss Beckingham who gave up half their Saturday to make it happen.
