About Me

I was born in Bristol and I have lived in North Somerset for my whole life, Why move when you live in such a beautiful area of the world. I was educated in Wrington, Winscombe and then I moved onto Churchill Community School as it was then. This is where I developed my passion for sport (Rugby and Snowboarding) and the arts.

At the University of the South of England I studied Fine Art and then PGCE FE.

I have been in education for 11 years working in the secure estate (8years). Setting up an Education provision for North Somerset YOS and then for two terms working for the VLC AP Provision (3 years).

You could say I enjoy a challenge.

I am really happy to be a part of the new developments of the wonderful school that is Westhaven.

Beyond teaching I am a professional studio artist and I have had my works shown nationally and internationally. Art is more than fun and a past time it is a fundamental part of what makes me, me.

Career Highlights

Becoming a Level 2 RFU sports coach.

Finding a Job I can truly be passionate about.

Gaining my QTLS.

Supporting some very challenging young learners to gain their GCSE’s when no other education service could do so.

Being given the opportunity to work at Westhaven, to develop and run the new Horizon provision.

Hobbies and Interests

Snowboarding- I first started when I was in primary school and then when I was 16 I qualified as an instructor and worked at the local dry ski slope. I have and will continue to go and ride some of the best snow covered mountains the world has to offer.

Art- I have my own studio and I have been shown in some very interesting and prestigious shows. I have had my work exhibited in London, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Edinburgh and New York.

Sport- Rugby coaching, Mountain biking for fun and fitness and I really enjoy going to the Gym.

My Personality

Supportive and caring- I have a drive and enthusiasm to enable others to meet their goals and potential. I’m also Fun and Creative.
