In order to support our fundraising efforts, three staff members from Westhaven School are taking part in the Tough Mudder Obstacle Race later this year. Mr Ashworth, Miss Hurman and Miss Garret will attempt to run the 10–12-mile-long (16–19 km) military-style obstacle course. Designed and created by British Special Forces to test mental as well as physical strength, obstacles often play on common human fears, such as fire, water, electricity and heights.
Billed as the ultimate test of strength, stamina, determination, eye-watering obstacles from an ice bath labelled the ‘Arctic Enema’ to ‘Kiss of Mud 2’ and the ‘Electroshock Therapy’ the course is certainly not for the faint-hearted.
If you would like to sponsor them and help us raise money for our Sports Hall project you can do that by accessing our Fundraising page and clicking the Donate button. Please don’t forget to add “Tough Mudder” in the message box.
